We were building fence this morning and came across this plant.It is very hard to find, and is getting very scarce due to the fact it is worth alot of money when it is harvested and dried and that can only be done in the fall. But greedy people will dig it up now before it has time to set seed. I on the other hand was very excited to find it and would love to see more of it grow, so I left it where I found it. If more people would do that it may not be as scarce. Hopefully it will make it until fall. Leave me your guess and I will let you know the answer in a couple of days. Good Luck!

Pop Quiz! Anyone know what kind of plant this is??
We were building fence this morning and came across this plant.It is very hard to find, and is getting very scarce due to the fact it is worth alot of money when it is harvested and dried and that can only be done in the fall. Ginseng? My Dad and Uncle used to go dig it a lot and saved the seed to replant. Then people found it and took it. I love your blog you have my kind of cows. We have 3 herefords.

I believe you have some ginseng. I've never been lucky enough to find any. I love your trash to treasures. I prefer a scrap metal pile to the mall any day.
